Covert Eye Technologies Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Cautio") values your concerns in regard to data protection and privacy. Cautio is dedicated to delivering products and services of the highest standard, based on best-effort basis in accordance with industry norms. We, at Cautio, value each of our existing or prospective clients or end users ("you/your/yours") and aim at maintaining appropriate protection of your personal data and other information accessed or collected through Cautio’s Devices and Services(collectively and independently referred to as "Data", as the context may so require) we need to effectively render and improve our services.

This privacy policy was previously updated on 11 October 2023 and is deemed to be effective as of 30 September 2025 and is subject to be updated to reflect any changes to the manner in which we manage the Data or to Incorporate changes in applicable laws.

Capturing, recording or sharing video or audio content that involves other individuals, or capturing other individuals; facial feature information, may affect their privacy rights.

For the purpose of this policy “Processing” / “Process” / “Processed” shall mean and include in relation to Data, a wholly or partly automated operation or set of operations performed on Data, and includes operations such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation, retrieval, use, alignment or combination, indexing, sharing, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, restriction, erasure or destruction;

We collect Data from our products and integrated services to support the administration of fleet activities, ensure safety, and improve operational efficiency. This Data may also be shared in anonymized and aggregated form with authorized third parties, trusted partners and affiliates for purposes such as enhancing geospatial intelligence, improving traffic and mobility solutions, and enabling data-driven research in the transportation sector. Such data sharing is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws, with appropriate safeguards in place to ensure that individual privacy is not compromised.

Cautio does not sell or otherwise divulge your Data, except as provided for in this privacy policy. Your contact information, phone number, email ID and organisation name are gathered by Cautio's sales or business team and shared merely with the tech team responsible for your account/profile creation. Access from the video telematics devices annexed to the client's fleet, can be viewed by (i) you and (ii) our engineering and support team. We may utilize the Data, in aggregated and/or anonymized form, to enhance our services, support industry research, academic and research purposes, and contribute to broader developments and improvements across related sectors. This may involve collaboration with authorised third parties, trusted partners and affiliates in ways that align with industry best practices and standards

Prior to any dissemination pursuant to any collaboration stated hereinabove, Cautio will try to ensure that the Data is anonymized and does not contain any identifiers traceable to a specific individual, vehicle, or business.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, Cautio reserves the right to transfer or share any Data, in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution, bankruptcy or liquidation) or as authorized by law.

The Data obtained through our products and services is stored securely on cloud servers which are hosted in data centres complying with industry security standard measures and protocols.

Cautio maintains administrative and technical safeguards envisaged to protect Data against unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use. Data is encrypted in the servers and accessible through authorised channels, including our web or mobile applications and client-side APIs. Content captured by the products are shared or accessed via our platform with you, for the mutually agreed upon duration . Content captured by the products are stored securely within the latter in a format that is readable solely by the firmware. Strict administrative guidelines, rules and channels are created to facilitate authentication of access requests.
